This can be a simple magic eye to count good and scrap output as it goes by, an ammeter, a motion sensor - at a minimum, anything that can tell if the machine is going or not. As soon as it’s connected, Plantnode starts collection Machine Truth: 100% accurate data. And it never forgets, so you can analyse it anytime, for up to a year or more, right back to switch-on. You’ll need an Ethernet connection to do this, because Plantnode displays information (not just raw data) on its internal website. OEE: your finger on the pulse
Showing overall OEE and its components, Availability, Performance and Quality, you can drill down to detail if you smell a rat. The calculation can be changed easily to accommodate the way you calculate it and you can slide backwards and forwards through time or check the current, real time position.
Use this report from day one to kick-start your analysis efforts and start counting the return on your investment immediately.
Pareto listing of downtime by reason
This simple Pareto analysis of down-time provides accurate data so your Continuous Improvement Plans have firm foundations.
Reason codes may be read directly from the machine or the operator may scan a bar-code. The operator may forget to do this (the blue bar), but Plantnode doesn’t - it keeps asking! Alternatively reasons may be added later.
Accurate cost reporting against standard
The green bars show good output, the middle row when scrap was produced and the lower rows show periods of down time and switch off.
Hover over an element and you get a complete display of what went on: drill down if you like.
That black band across the top is present on all Plantnode screens. It shows what’s currently on the overhead display: “Job Profit $-125.90” in this case.
